Each spike is housed in its own cartridge that can be conveniently moved in rotation to get maximum wear or replaced if necessary. (Please note the spike has been tested to 3million two hundred and twenty five thousand, six hundred, operations in a period of five days) Should you have cause to replace a cartridge due to unforeseen damage it can be replaced quickly and simply by Just unbolting the two fixing bolts, this is also convenient for periodic maintenance of the spike (i.e. lubrication and Removable of possible debris).
